I was able to get the outboard passenger side plug easily from under the car.

I haven't done these yet .. I have the parts, but once I rebuilt the transmission lines the smoking stopped, and the leak is more of a weep from one side. Once it goes back up in the air for the MotorMounts and oil pan I will try to tackle this!

Glad to see others have .

Doing this now, what a bitch. Too many things in the way!!! The dremel was a great idea, used it!

But couldn't get it in on the inboard rear drivers side. Went low tech. Used a serrated kitchen knife to saw through the old retainer. Worked very well. Then tapped on the sawed plastic with a screwdriver and soft mallet. Broke off the edges and finally could get a wrench on it.

BTW, got to all of them from the top, I did have the valve covers off but probably didn't need to.

And although I have all kinds of offset wrenches and small sockets, ended up using plain combo wrenches.

Now to put the new ones back on. oh boy

Glad for the update. I have yet to tackle this job for fear of having a car down and my backup (Jeep) is getting front suspension work (Ball joints) so this will have to wait. Post pics if possible

Again, you're welcome to come over and do it at my place. I've done this before.

UPDATE- These went in a lot easier than I thought they would...
One thing that helped quite a bit was to replace the bolts with ones that were slightly longer and adding a two washers, one a locking one. I was able to push these in, mostly with a lot of finger pressure, and if one was not quite in, a slight push with a breaker bar snugged them in tight! Worked with a regular combo wrench.

I am hoping I won't get that burning oil smell now, just got to back to the TB/WP work
