Hans: Unfortunately I will be out of town starting Thursday (in Ely, NV working with George at an open road race), so I will miss your visit. Hope everything goes well on your trip.

Well it is Nevada, so I'm sure you could line something up at the casino.

Tahoeshark and Aspkiller are in Tahoe area...

You can stay at our house if you like. Dubuque, IA. about 70 miles north of I 80. We have a spare bedroom/apartment setup.

I talked with Hans this morning about 8:00 and he was at about Eugene, NV. I expect him here in about an hour or so. The steaks are thawed and Bette went to the store for some potaotes to bake. I think we will have a while to talk about projects and show some of my mess, then after a good night's rest we are taking off together early in the morning to caravan at least as far as Denver where I am going to go north to I 80 and Hans will continue east on I 70, I think his plan is to make Olathe, KS by tomorrow evening and I think he has a place to stay.

I'm pulling my trailer to Illinois to pick up my first GTS and haul it home. I'll probably be somewhere between Omaha and DesMoines by tomorrow night and then back to there with my car in haul by Sunday evening then home Monday. Looks like about 2500 miles in three days.

Its just after 3:00pm here now so I still have a couple of things to finish up to be ready for my trip.

As photos are getting posted... I'll spill. Hans is travelling home with ALL of my 928 stash.

Just after the holidays, Hans and I came to a deal for all my 928 stash, including my 1993 5 spd. GTS roller. It took a while to complete all aspects of issuing the State of CA title, but it was mostly the logostics surrounding VIN verifcation. Thanks go to "Pod Guy" for the hints for how I could get title for the GTS roller.

I wish Hans the best as he adds my stash to his for moving his 928 efforts forward.

For anyone curious, I'll be around just a while longer as Dennis and I do some further tuning and tweeking on his "screamer".

Regards to all.

We have had dinner, looked at several of my projects and at a lot of the treasure trove Hans has in tow and told a lot of war stories, mostly mine--Hans is avery good listener--and besides dinner we have had our fill of adult beverages. Now it is time for bed and rest before an early get-up for our 6:00 am planned departure.

We are up and it is now about 5:45. We are enjoying our coffee and talking about how we intend for this next leg for Hans and my first. We will probably make our 6:00 departure.

So we have a tale of two GTS's... and a stash. I think this qualifies as EPIC.

Jim, sorry to see you getting out. I hope your next live's journey serves you well.
