Has anyone here purchased anything from 928 Specialists within the last 3-4 months? If so, how was the transaction? Did it go quickly and smoothly? Were the parts shipped in a reasonable time frame?

i had the same problems.. I could never get an order sent out, emails not followed up, kept getting the " it will go right out" but it never showed. so i went to another vendor...

I like The owners. I met them at SITM.. I felt really guilty about buying from another vendor.
After meeting the owners i tried to buy from them afterwards, and same issue.. never got the order or a follow up... I feel bad saying this as DR has been a great resource for these cars, and I think the whole community owes him a lot for what he has done for us...

I feel terrible for posting this, and feel like i am betraying them. I have said this in hopes that this might help them work on the issues that may be going on.


I would love to do business with them, but with a 0% order completion i have to go elsewhere.
I will give them another shot, and i sincerely hope that they can come through. They are super nice.

I got my order in February (typical water pump / timing belt maintenance parts) within a reasonable time (2 weeks), considering they don't stock everything; half of it drop-shipped from a Porsche dealer in California.

I also dislike posting this because they seem like "okay" people and are probably going thru "something"...but I finally gave up. I tried to order from them 3 times in about a year and just needed an e-mail response to a simple question each time, never got one or got it after 2-3 re-sends. The last time I complained, they didn't even apologize.

Hope they work out whatever issue/s they're going thru...

I just placed an order last week. I had no problems with communication and the shipping was fast! They even lowered the shipping cost even after the order had been placed. They sent me a email stating shipping ended up being cheaper. Little things like that keep me coming back! Thumbs up here!
