Do you have any complete Sharkvent for sale now?
Thanks
Hi Michael,
None in stock at this time. I do plan to get a batch built before SITM if I get a couple of major 928 projects finished in time. If not it will be right after SITM. This will catch up my backlog and should leave a few unspoken for.
Also, if there is enough interest I can order a batch of just the mounting brackets and oil pan fittings etc. for those that want to "roll their own".
Cheers,
Dave

Some time ago, I did a search on the crankcase ventilation system and found that the Sharkvent was ultimate in splitting air/oil and had a nice setup with all the hoses etc. I thought that it was a Positive Crankcase Ventilation system (if I get the naming right): vacuum from the inlet is sucking away excessive pressure from tha crankcase. However, in order to do this, a tube from the Provent filter is needed to the inlet manifold. I thought that was the case, however all setups now only have a small K&N filter to ambient pressure, so no vacuum sucking out the overpressure in the crankcase. Is that correct? Why the change to this new designed system?
It seems to be less prefect for the engine and the Provent now is only used for propper seperation of air/oil to protect the environment and keep the engine bay clean. I guess a cheaper filter could also do the trick?

47 miles before hose failure but at least it was the hose and not the cam cover like I was thinking the oil was coming from. Back to the drawing board.
Dave what did you do to change the config on these junctions??
I would except it all sits right under the passenger side plenum and with thicker hose and clamps the plenum is shoved too high... See the pics at the beginning.

You can use hose that is made for oil/crankcase ventilation at all those points, they might not be so pretty but they will last. From what I can see you have **** hose from post 9 on. I've dealt with the same thing and once I went from pretty to useful things changed.

Okay, I'm off to find some useful hose, Sean is right, but it was easier to grab what I'd already had on the shelf...
