Default Possible buyer for my car...Does this seem like some sort of scam

I have my 84' for sale and in my listing on C-list I included the asking price and milage. The other day I recieved an e-mail asking me to confirm the milage and price. I responded with the requested info.Today I recieved this e-mail:

Cool, that sounds like a fair deal. My husband Ken is (generously) paying for it. We agreed that he buys the car for me, if I handle the cost of the policy. Im sure I can afford it, but he still wants to see a general idea of the cost before he buys it for me.
I'm at the office right now, and they limit internet use to internal company sites only. Will you do a quick favor, and go to Auto Quotes and just run a quote for me, so I have at least something to tell him? I'm local, with 0 tickets or accidents. If you could just tell me how much the premium is and we'll come over once I leave work today, if that works for you.
Thanks and look forward to meeting with you!

Jill

Not sure if this is on the up and up or should I avoide any furhter contact with these individulas. Have not spoke with them. Only e-mail, What do you all think.

At best, that's someone who works for Auto Quotes, looking to increase site traffic. So at best, it's junior varsity scam.

Stupidly strange. Run a quote for someone. What? How about mow the lawn too.

Jill and Ken run up the hill to fetch a 928.

Let her do the Auto Quotes or whatever.

You may have a buyer, just let it play out.

When I sold my Ford Falcon a couple years ago I got a couple different people asking me to do this. It's a scam. I didn't play it out to figure out how this particular scam works, but no way two different people both needed me to look up an insurance quote for them.

Using the term "policy" was interesting.

It's a scam:

Don't do it. Most likely a phishing scam to get you to visit an infected website.

If time was not a factor, she could wait til she gets home to do it. Or better yet use her phone to dial up the internet connection/WIFI to check it herself.

They probably saw Porsche and thought "Oh, this guy has loads of money, let's steal his information".

Yet little did they know that Porsche was a 928, and that there was no money at all...just a long wishlist of parts and DIY manuals...

This one has been going on for several years. "Auto quotes" does not quote insurance. Did the person provide a link? If so, it's a phishing site.
