The only reason for not choosing the colour of you liking is other people's opinion. Let you own opinion speak up. It's your car, your money, you life.
I have the same idea about the colourchange. Mine is oakgreen and I wnt Lindengrun too. The interior is green with pascha. I already have a spare headlamp bowl painted just to get used to it.

Or I could go with my three year olds suggestion "magenta"

Ok so I think I really want to stay stock, mainly due to the issues surrounding the engine bay. I can't live with that not painted, so a colour change is out. Plus I want to make sure they focus on doing the job at hand well.
But I'm toying with the idea of tweaking the colour slightly or adding a little pearl to the clear coat. But staying pretty close to the meteor metallic.
Or a little hit of blue? Just a little.
I'm going to the shop Monday morning.
But the first order of business is to tell them they are removing the quarter windows to make sure we get all rust. They were planning on taking off the trim, but I need to inform them to leave the trim and just pull the whole thing with the glass. My trim is aluminum and is perfect, it won't be if they try to remove it.
I have already gone over what I want, but I think I need to wright it all down with them and go over it again so everyone is on the same page.
Yes I'm OCD.

Being the rebel, I would go with the alternate color.. I would keep it a Porsche color, but I would change the color if I did not like the original. Good Luck with your choice. I know it is always exciting to paint a car.

Staying original on these doesn't matter, and even though I think meteor metallic is one of the best colors for the 928, this one is just a little nicer and would not mess with the engine bay situation - quartz grey metallic

I'm going to stay original. I'm focusing on making sure the car is stripped properly.
Today they will have the quarter windows out and the remainder of trim off. Right now the car is at the welder getting the rub strip holes welded up.
She should be ready for paint late this week.
That quartz grey is nice though, but the more I look at the car I think she is going to look real nice in the original colour.
