Default More Rally 928 in car to help you sleep !

http://youtu.be/W1jk27sH39U

From last weekend's Circuit of Ireland Rally - one of the oldest rallies - certainly in Europe.
Stages were very tight, twisty and narrow in places.

Clip below may bring a smile !!

Have a nice day on that side of the pond !!

always enjoy your vids (I'm subscribed on Youtube in fact). Good to see the 928 is going well - dinosaurs notwithstanding.

Off-topic but is the turbo V6 MR2 yours as well? Anywhere I can go to read a bit more about this car?

No - it's not mine , but belongs to my navigator - interesting as it's a totally home made / designed project. Make contact with him via the Youtube chanel he has - let me know if that does not work and I'm sure I can help !.
He competes in sprint competitions in it.
cheers

I'm very curious about this. What roads are being used for these races? They look like back farm roads and such. I see a lot of buildings and things of that nature that could take damage if a car lost control. Does this happen at all?

Roads are exactly what you think - public roads (closed for the rally duration - by law) with all the associated hazards that you see. Yes - accidents do happen , on the 2nd stage of this event , a car went off and hit a tree - the trees always win - both crew in hospital , one with broken bones ... but this is NOT a common happening - usually it's bent body panels and the like.
S'pose it's why we have safety rules , and roll cages , and ......
but it does concentrate the mind at times !!
(and yes - buildings get damaged sometimes too .....)

In Ireland we are lucky and can close the roads for these type of events - the Isle of Man can do the same ...... but in England ... NO !!!

This looks like so much fun. I wish I could do something like this where I am. Do you have any pictures of the car itself so we can see how it is set up?

You call those "roads"? They look like cow trails to me.

Nice job as always!

LOVE IT! I had a "Donegal International Rally" windshield banner on my MG back in high school..in 1984.

Ive been on many back roads in Ireland but not at that speed. Great video....thanks for sharing.

I used to spend quite a bit of time in Letterkenny during the summer as a kid. My dad is from there.
