Default Craigslist 1989 Strosek 928

I cant believe this hasnt popped up on the radar yet. http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/cto/2941562459.html

I got sucked into searching CL Florida after reading GuardRed Hammerheads convertible find in and found this rough 1989 Strosek 928 in North Miami. I did quick search here and didnt find one post.

The car looks like it could have been a recovered theft at one time.

Someone needs to rescue this car.

It did pop up on my radar I just can't add anything to the fleet right now.

This car was for sale two years ago with the engine in pieces. The current owner bought it at that time and has since put an engine in it. He has yet to get it running so buy it with the knowledge that you may need to replace the transmission and possibly the engine as well as A/C, alt. etc. The interior was in pieces and is still not complete. I almost stopped to look at it while I was in Miami last week but I knew if I did I would be too tempted so I stayed away.

No. I just need the body to go along with a set of wheels I have lol

Btw, those wheels are missing center caps as well.

I actually called a few rennlisters about this car. I felt that it needed to be in the right hands. With someone who would fix it correctly. So far, no takers. I wish I had less cars or I'd have picked it up. If it were a 5 speed I'd rent space to store it, but it's an automatic.

When it went for sale a few years ago I was next in line to buy it, it was listed for $2k if I remember correctly. I like the body style over my Strosek except for the lights.

No way I could get it now, just picked up an 80 TR7 and the wife is still pissed!

When i was for sale a couple of years ago the seller built a lame website dedicated to selling the car. It was listed at around $6,000 at that time. Glenn, you should buy it. Tell your wife that you need it so that you can drive the value up on your other one.

As a person currently restoring my Cassirot to respectable condition, that car needs a lot of work and money. It would be nice if a rennlister could give this car a good home and attention it needs but I think the seller is a little optimistic at that selling price!

At $2k, I would have bought it. $8k for a car that will need EVERYTHING is plain silly. My wife says I'm nuts, I guess I'm not yet nuts enough lol
