Default Fuel injector replacement question

Since I bought my '81 NON euro 928 Ive read quite a bit and not been able to really figure out this thing about those who are using Ford injectors. Are they direct replacements or do I need to modify the fuel rails and or anything else? If they are a direct fit does anyone have the part # for them? Last but not least is there a big advantage other then replacing 31 year old injectors with fresh ones?

Did you change anything else at the same time?

The Bosch injectors are not the same for an 88 and a 81 so I doubt the same ford injector fits both especially as they have different fuel rails and attachments.

here you go.. "Improved Design: These 928 Motorsports LLC custom injectors will fit your existing intake manifold, and allow you to upgrade to the more common late-model 928 fuel rail or our 928 Motorsports aluminum fuel rails. Gone are the little 2-inch hoses to each injector and all those clamps! " You need to change fuel rails to the late style but still not sure about flow rates but seems Carl is selling the conversion and new injectors.

I think it's more than just physical fitment.
L-jet = Low impedance
LH = high impedance
Most late model injectors, including the 5.0's, are high impedance. Electronically, I don't think they are a drop in.
928MS and Roger both sell direct replacement low impedance injectors for the L-jet cars.

If you are interested in replacing your injectors, ducman82 was selling his 928ms ljet injector set along with his spider, and fuel rails for a pretty good deal with only a few miles on them. i was thinking of jumping on them but suspension is first on the list for me right now.
