Default GT Exhaust FS

Have a '91 GT muffler that was removed early on in favor of a RMB. Looks to be very nice. $325/Offer.

Will consider selling other items pictured.

That's virtually the same exhaust I have n Perl... the GT rear end and x-pipe.

RMB is loud with the GT and X, but slightly quieter with the hiflo cats.

Nice setups Larry, wish I had a car that needed them. GLWS!

Hi, is the GT rear muffler the same as that in S4 MY89??? I seem to recall some info that suggest the GT rear muffler was different to the S4s i.e. smaller increased flow????
Cheers

We have an complete 89 exhaust in Carson City. Picture attached shows that there are some differences. As to what will fit and what won't, I'll leave that to others.

Hi Larry:

That's not 89. The resonators are too big and the rear muffler is from an early model. I think that's an early exhaust.

Given that info, then the 89 exhaust is in the shop but still on the car and that is off the 86.5, as those who know quickly pointed out.

So who can say what pieces off the 91 will fit elsewhere?

On my GTS I have stock cats,'89 GT resonators into an RMB and I believe it is the best sounding exhaust.

All of the 91 pieces should fit 87 onward.

BUMP-

The muffler is still waiting for its new owner, but in the meantime, the Lomas merge pipe and hi-flow cats have been sold. So, what is left is a complete 91 GT factory exhaust set-up for the guy who has everything original, but wants a back-up. 81K car with less than 50k on the original cats.
