Rear Hatch Release Switch Release Tutorial Anywhere?
All-
The hatch release switch on the passenger side of my 1987 928 S4 is missing and the driver's side switch is there and works fine. I have a replacement hatch release switch that the previous owner of my 928 purchased and gave to me, but I can't seem to find any instructions online about how to install it. I thought I'd check on here in case anyone knew of any instructions or tutorials. I've searched all the usual areas but can only seem to find instructions on fixing the problem with the worn out release or if the motor doesn't seem to stop.
I figure I could also try looking at the driver's side release to see what is going on there, but the less stuff I rip open the better.
Thanks in advance for any help.

If the red and yellow wires are still there under the cover, it's simple. The switch has two male spades. The red and yellow wires should have females spades. Hook one of them to each switch spade.
First you have to undo the thumbturn to remove the carpeted cover. Under there you should find two wires with female spade connectors. Install the switch on the cover, install the two wires to the switch and reinstall the cover. It does not make any difference on which wire is connected to with post on the switch.
