Outstanding work Jerry! It looks beautiful. Thanks.

I will be ordering your CC soon, but I want to reuse my original Shell sticker on it. The back side of it is completely clean of any sticky residue. Do you have any idea what type of adhesive I can use to reapply it?

Hi Rick. Thanks. I think I would use contact cement. Jerry Feather

Great job Jerry! When I get my car out of hibernation I will probably need one.

Fantastic!

Its amazing how many (aftermarket) parts are still being developed and manufactured for our aging machines...

Crime of passion I guess...

THANK YOU FOR SUCH A NEEDED PART!

I will be ordering soon.

Default Fit for 86.5

Mike, one of the things that I have not been really sure of is whether or not the 86.5 has the intensive WS washer system. I thought I saw a couple of 86.5s on eBay a while back both with a full length cowl cover and that had an opening for a washer bottle on the drivers end. Since then I have not been able to confirm that and have become more convinced that th 86.5 does not have it.

That being the case, and you should confirm that in respect to your car, I have the cowl cover that I designed that does not have a provision for the bottle opening. Look at that one in the pictures at the beginning of this thread. As to to shell sticker, I am also not real sure when the sticker changed from the yellow background one to the white background one, both with the same part number. I suspect that the 86.5 probably had the later version sticker that is white background.

Yes, I will send one of these to the UK. The S&H is $45 as posted earlier in this thread. I am sure that one of these covers will fit the 86 928. I am also pretty sure that your car does not have the intensive WS washer system and if not my version without the cutout for that bottle will suit your needs. I am also not real sure which Shell sticker wil go on the 86. Do you have one there now? If so, what style is it? Otherwise I am going to suggest that you go with the third version of the sticker which is white background rather than yellow.

That's pretty awesome, Jerry!

I assume they are not "Featherweights" as the originals - right?

I had been showing these off to some friends and showed the factory one for comparison. The most common comment was how much heavier mine are than the original. Tehcnically, mine are made out of a better quality plastic and about twice as heavy as the originals. I stated earlier that I measured the originals and they appear to have been made out of material that is .030 in. thick and mine are just twice that, .060 inch thick.

Thanks for your interest, Nicole.

Jerry,
will these fit a RHD? My intensive washer is in on the right when viewed from the drivers seat looking forward? It would appear from the photo's your opening is on the left.

Brett, another thought I have is that your 928 might very well be a right hand driver. If so my covers will not work since those use a cover that is mirror image of the others driven from the left. I didn't make a form for the right hand drive cars.
