This thread hasn't been bumped for a long time, but I continue to get frequent orders for these in their various configurations. This is for the recent inquiry about these in connection with the Belly Pan recently announced. These can be conveniently shipped together with a nice savings on shipping and handling.

Right now I am at the kind of end of this Cowl Cover project as it was originally designed, and now I am embarking on a slightly new version of it. The design is the same and has turned out great, but now the material that is available is somewhat improved. I actually forgot the name of the new material that I have found available, but it will form better and has a much more refined texture and will lend itself to these much better. The downside is that the new material is about three times the cost of the original ABS. I have ordered some of it and it will be here in about another week, but then I have about two weeks to schedule the time to form a new batch of these. If these work out the new price is going to be $120 plus shipping. That accounts for the cost of the material and my increased price for my time in forming and finishing them up. I have an order for two of the earlier versions of these and that will take care of those that I have on hand. I still have a few of the S4 versions that I will honor at the $90 price until they are gone. This applies the RHD versions also.

Followed the instructions...Jerry pointed out the back wall of the engine compartment was pushed out when we were together in SD.

45 min of wrangling and Jill saying "it looks closer ...I think?

Figured I'd give this tread a bump.
Jerry, do you still provide these?
I could use one for my 86.5 project.
Thanks.

Hi Denny. Yes, I still make these and have several in stock ready for final finish and shipping. I am on the verge of scheduling to form a new batch of these since I am down to only 3 or 4 for the S4 cars with the opening for the intensive washer. They are now $125 each plus $25 for the Seal and, for you , $5 for the Shell sticker. The s&h is $45 to domestic locations. You can PayPal to me at jfeather@bresnan.net. Send it to Friends and Family.

Yes, I still have these available and they are still as posted just last September. I just shipped one today in fact. Your cost for the Cover, the Seal and the two Stickers is $125 plus $25 plus $10. Plus S&H of $45. Your total is $ 205. You can PayPal to me at: jfeather@bresnan.net. Send it to Friends and Family. Jerry Feather. Send me your name and address to the same email.

My cowl cover and seal, fit and installed beautifully!

Being a relatively new 928 owner I hope I can say without negative reply's that the original cowl cover and the spare tire cover were/are poorly designed flimsy garbage,

Kudos to Jerry for is designs and build quality!

Marc, you need to be playing closer attention, I did not get your mailing address as requested so I could not send your items. The result is that I refunded your money. We may need to start over.

This thread has grown some whiskers. I see that in my own review of the thread that there is a lot of information about the development of these Cowl Covers that I created, but not much of it is very recent.

I have said in the past that I think that the 928 Cowl Covers are perhaps the least noticed item in the 928. Given that, I had found myself in the position to evaluate their original design(s) and to improve on that/those to a great a deal as I thought I could. And I did.

My cowl Covers are about twice as heavy plastic as the originals. Then I redesigned the center hump and the fence around the air vent to accommodate better water flow over and around them than the originals. Next I made mine to conform to the metal cowl trim at the base of the windshield, since the originals do not match that curve. Finally, I provided some ribs and trenching in the rear flange to kind of allow the water to flow left and right better to get to the areas of the drain holes for the Cowl area.

My Covers now replicate the appearance of the originals but are much more functional in their application.
