I'd be happy to drive while you run the laptop one day.

UPDATE:
YAY!
I had been fighting a top end (5200 and up rpm) misfire/hiccup for most of last year, and i have FINALLY figured it out. I am using the LS style coils and it turns out the misfire was the coils entering "protection mode" at higher RPM and auto discharging. looks like i had the dwell setting (charge rate) set to high. once i lowered that down BAM, problem fixed.
and while i was checking out timing and trouble shooting that problem i noticed that at higher RPM the timing would retard about 4-5 degrees. did some reading and looks like all i had to do was adjust the spark latency. thats the difference between the time the spark happens, and when the computer told the coil to fire. so adjusting that setting brought the timing dead on.
the car just a new beast. I'm going to need to invest in tires. The acceleration is just magnificent. and best of all, is now that the nagging problem is fixed, i can drive it like a normal person (i was doing lots of WOT while running data logs to try and figure it out).
another thing i also set up was i tapped in to the speedometer sensor, and now my data logs record Mph and what gear the car is in. kinda nice.
now i need to find a local dyno with a steady state machine that can polish off the tune now.

last dyno run had be at a stones throw from 300rw. now with the timing right, GB headers, and the tune much better. should be over that. but we shall see.
