Default Duc's Mega Squirt Install

So as I'm finishing up the hybrid engine and waiting on some machine work, i decided to start on the wiring for my MSIII engine management install. I don't have the MS box yet, but i do have the wiring harnesses and diagrams i need. first thing i had to do was map out the existing fuel pump and ECM relays and figure out how to use them to power the MS box, O2 sensor, coils, injectors and fuel pump.

here is the diagram of how i wired up the two relays on the CE panel so they would do what was needed of them. i used the FP relay to activate the pump and the ECM relay, and that was used to power the Injectors ( the stock relay did so why not use the same wires!)

I used the stock W panel connector for all the MS connections that i needed. that way i could take out the CE with out having to cut wires or anything each time. after some re routing this is how it looks in the back.

and here is the view from the front. the fuses in the 41+ positions are used for the MS power, FP signal, injectors (2 banks), coils, and O2 WB sensor/gauge.

i will post more as i go.

Are you doing CNP, COP, coil packs, Edis-8, or distributed ignition?

What are you doing with the fuel injectors? I would recommend going to a high imp injectors!!!

As well, forget sequential injection/ignition. It's a waste of time and energy.

What is your plan for the IAC?

IAC i have the bosch style one, (late model)
CNP, LS2 coils.
injectors will be High Imp, just don't know what ones to use yet.
going to try Sequential for giggles. does not seem to be to crazy from what i can tell. would not take much to do normal batch if i hate it...

trying to figure out TPS right now. i have a 951 TPS on the Throttle body, but its on backwards! i don't want the pig tale sticking out the front of the engine, so i might re notch the shaft or find another TPS... what did you end up using Colin?

I cut both the V and W plug wires leaving a 12 pigtail to tie into the existing circuits.
That was on a Tec-4 install.
I did not use the sequential inj/ign either as Colin recommends

for The TPS a GM one was provided

Is that even an option with the tec setup?

Tuning seems like it would be harder, and I know the benefits are really only at low rpm, but that's still a plus in my book.

The TPS makes the accel enrichment easier, but is not even close to needed. Less so with a auto.

For the 16V that I did on MS I redid the entire center plenum. The throttle body sticks out the front.

Many reasons for that install.

Too many to list.

Wow that looks amazing! COP and camshaft sensor in one is beautiful. hows the fuel rail clearance to the coils?

Can you flip the coils 180? Tower pointing toward the fender. Otherwise I guess extend the coil bracket off the cam towers. Looks good thou.

Is this engine going to be supercharged? If so batch fire the injectors.
I use the TPS on my Haltech set up. Have to for instant fuel enrichment. When I was tuning and fuel enrichment was OFF. A/F recordings captured the lean condition then rich up whenever the throttle was snapped open. The lean out wasn't too bad, 14:1 or 15. But still fuel has to keep up with the air.

no plans on SC yet. i hooked up that TPS and it works fine (mechanically speaking) just the darn electric plug is facing forward... me and my esthetics. coils sit great on the bracket, and i have yet to pick what injectors i need. just way to many choices. 5L hybrid... thinking 24 pounders, or maybe 28... i have no idea what to get..

as for the rails, i just need some kind of "extenders" to bridge the gap, or a rail with built in ones. should not be to hard.. just need to pick injectors first so i know what measurements to use.
