Well it's here again - moving once more back East to P-burgh. Seems like just a short time ago I moved out here to Montana. Going to miss this beautiful shark friendly place.
So, tomorrow the moving van shows up for the furniture, then the next morning to u-haul, get the trailer, then get Blumaxx out of storage, strap her on and head East.
Any last minute towing tips from those of you who do this routinely? I've never towed anything before.
You know the obvious, but also make sure you perform a visual inspection of all tires including the inner sidewalls, and check your tie down straps after 10-20 miles. Have a safe trip Ed. 77Tony

Verify that the safety chains are attached to your car correctly. I sometimes put plastic cable tie-wraps on the hooks to keepthem planeted securely. Tie the trailer wiring up so it can't get damaged if you drag the hitch over something. Check the air pressure in your car tires as well as those trailer tires before you roll with the car onboard.
As Tony recommends, check your tie-downs after you've driven a bit. I usually do a walk-around and recheck these, the hitch and the associated bits every time I stop for fuel, food, or pee. Just a lap of the rig with eyes open before plopping back into the saddle and rolling again.
Drive safe, have fun, and see you in the fall with some luck.
Thanks Guys. Great tips. Glen, probably won't make Hershey, but am shooting for SITM, and will be at frenzy for sure. I look forward to seeing you and the other guys again, and getting back into all of the 928 events. Randy, I'm going back to my prior lawfirm. I was in-house GC at the company where I worked out here in Bozeman, and am now returning to private practice again. The scenery will certainly will be missed!
Good luck with your journey. Having grown up there, would be nice to visit the city of champions again. Found memories of Gibsonia and hunting and fishing as a kid. Stay safe.
Cool, we bought our new house in Gibsonia, right on the northern edge of north park.
Bozeman was a pretty good 928 place - there are actually 4 others in this valley of roughly 65,000 people - a big number all things considered. There are many more back in western PA and thereabouts. Really looking forward to the "scene" again, but jeez, I am going to miss these wonderful roads! There have been so many times that I have been flying out in the middle of nowhere, up a sweet mountain switchback, going faster than the original spec for the car, and holding on for dear life laughing out loud! Can't do that in too many places back east.

Come on Ed! We have switchbacks here! During the road construction/repairs you have to switchback and forth through the orange cones! And you have to hold on for dear life as you hit those huge pot holes while laughing out loud because if you don't you'll be
Safe trip neighbor and let me know if you need any help.
