Default BIG RED REAR INSTALLATION QUESTION.

I'll start my Big Red front and rear install over the next few days and have one question. On the rears, I've read about using 7mm shims. Is this for mounting the calipers, or simply a wheel shim for clearance? Anyone have a photo and a resource? Thanks, Brian

Just use some washers as shims on the calipers. That's what I did.. Unless u have some strange wheel where it needs to be spaced, but I doubt it.

The shims are for centering the caliper to the rotor. The shim distance will vary so get a few washers and see what works.

The original rear dust shields will not fit properly to the calipers so you will need to delete them. I have not had any issues with them off.

Fantastic, thanks for the info. That's what I thought but then got to thinking, we all know how that goes.
