Default Rear Quarter Window Trim Installation

Anyone have problems with this?

I got the aluminum trim pieces in, and the front corner trim piece, but the rear corner trim looks wrong. Doesn't look like it fits right.

Here's the front corner of the right window

Here's how the rear corner trim lines up with the trim installed on the top trim piece.

The angle just looks off.

Same trim for all years? Why does the angle on the body look more severe than that of the trim piece?

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Or maybe someone has a nice close up picture of the rear quarter window rear trim piece installed on the car?

Mine hasn't had the trim since 2002!

Looks to me like there are two different shaped trim pieces?

Your trying to use two top pieces, the rear has a tighter radius.

Soupcan the top one is tighter. The rear one is as per the number in the PET. And different from the forward one.

The First 928 have a different Window shape than newer modells.this can explain the different shape of the Window trim .

Thanks Darklands, I will contact 928 Intl who sold me the trim and see if they can help.

What happened?
They just sent me the same part which clearly doesn't fit.

I called 928Intl and Tom sorted me out.

The early models have an earlier trim.

The on-line catalog was wrong if I remember correctly.

And they had to send me used pieces - so treat 'em like gold!

OK, I'm going to drive down and try to put it on if the car is outside. It's at Gulf Performance right now.

Here are a couple pictures so you can see the early vs later trim molding.
