Default More Rally incar from Ireland - with pacenotes this time !

Attached should be a link to one of the stages completed yesterday.
"We" have changed the recording technology for this year - which looks like a step forwards in the sound stakes , and one backwards in the picture quality.
We had one camera on the roof and one inside the car - the stage was 12.32 miles long , and our time 12mins , 24.9 secs ... hard to believe but this was one of the days slowest stages !! (on one other we averaged nearly 68mph , and I reckon we were doing 140 mph at one point ... till I ran out of round objects)
Exhaust joint blew out about two mins from end of stage , but that was our only drama of the day ... enjoy.
The code for the notes is mostly numeric (1 to 5, with 5 being slowest) - other figs like 200 - is distance to next corner. etc etc

Brilliant as usual ..

I loved the .. 'I almost crapped myself' ... whoooaa from your navigator at 9.42.

Your suspension seems good now ... do you still have any work you want to do on the car?

Would be good to sort the gearing better - am working on that presently , options are going to be one off and expensive ! Still at research phase.
Other than that - a complete rebuild with a 100kg weight loss target ... but not likely to be done by me in the short term .....

Circuit of Ireland Rally in three weeks time approx is next outing
Cheers

What are you planning, or perhaps what's on your wish list, for the gearing?

replacement link as original removed for a "quality upgrade"

Gearing - looking at a custom made CWP .... then possibly some different gears to get better ratio spacing.
Looking for about 125 - 130mph max in 5th. Can't remember fig from memory , but final ratio needs to be about 3.6 from memory

(ching ching !!)

Great video, how you get to close the roads for a rally just amazes me. Looks like too much fun !!
