Default Rear ended UPDATE: PICS

I got rear ended yesterday. The guy that hit me was doing over 50, and I don't know how bad my car is damaged. He was driving a saburban, and it's frontend is crushed! I took pictures, but don't know how to post them from my phone. I've got hagerty, so we'll see how they do. I think my shark is a total loss.

You sadly are probably right about the 928 being totalled. Keep us informed about dealing with Hagerty and remember after you get a settlement value before you agree ask about buying back the wrecked car. Sometimes you can get it for little money and make some money reselling it to a rennlist member who needs parts or a project.

Also take care of yourself, neck back issues can take a few days to become evident. If in any doubt see your doctor.

My dad had this too in Houston..all ended well, but the force of the collision was beyond description.

Get well. Then give em hell.

Terrible news! Hope you're ok. Had your car been appraised before the accident?

If the other guy was insured, it's his insurance that should be paying, not Hagerty.

That's a huge hit. You might want to consult a PI lawyer (or 2 or 3, for more info and maybe to find a good ethical fit) before you sign/accept any settlement.

Hagerty's not in the business of maximizing your compensation, even if they're not the responsible party.

Get an advocate who represents you.

Hope you're OK.

Sorry to hear that Joe. The car can be replaced, make sure to take care of yourself first!

While I lament the probable loss of a S4, I'm glad you weren't in the Polecat.

Ugh, sorry to hear it! Were you at a standstill? 5000-ish lbs of Suburban at 50 mph is a whole lotta KE. I hope you are ok- there are 10's of 1000's of 928's to pick from, but only 1 Joe. My wife got rear ended back in October at about 35 mph and was good and sore for several weeks afterwards- all just soft tissue/ligament/tendon strains, and is fine now, but you're gonna be sore, at best.
