Danglerb isn't wrong, he's just been "exposed" to a different "perspective".
After you've driven/ridden in a GTS with one of my 6.5 liter engines, the stock GTS is almost boring. Seems like you are driving an old VW bus, in comparision.
I think people that "modify" the GTS vehicle are just trying to bring it more up to the "current" performance of the "newer" vehicles....kind of like if Porsche was building that car today.

Guys, I have to be honest. This type of thread is the main reason I've lost some of my enthusiasm around the 928, one of the reasons I sold it and one of the reasons I prolly won't be back...... even if I ever buy another 928.
Some of you just need to grow the f$ck up! Reality sucks sometimes but it's still reality like it or not!!!

I don't see this attitude of condescension on most of the other car forums I read. However, most of them also don't have such a large disparity in the price/value of members' cars I guess.
It has little effect on my enjoyment of 928s though, and I'm not going to run off and sell my car because I think some people here are too full of themselves or are just plain jerks.
I've been here a long time, and it's funny how people's attitudes have changed over the years.

Nothing I know of in the current smog tests would see any difference, visual or sniffer, on a stroker vs stock. I'm a little amazed people get away with headers, but I guess a belly pan is more than worth its cost.
If I was interested in reality why would I be on the internet?

Any possibility this car might be on a truck headed east toward "central Texas"????? I see the listing has been removed, and another post indicates there is a '95 that is certainly an automatic headed towards the garage where the 928 Owners Club's Membership Chairman stores his "goodies".
Hope so!!
