Hey 928 guys.
When you buy timing belts. Do you do it at a piece price, or do you get it by the yard.

You think they have it bad, ask people with the Audi 4.2.
As I said last time I was fighting with a stubborn timing belt tensioner...some day I'm going to find the man who invented timing belts, and I'm going to kick him in the dick.

Dunked in the sharktank.
I thought the moderators were supposed to refrain from chumming the waters.

It beats the chain and intermediate shaft set up in the water cooled 911's.
No more mixed drinks tonight, eh?

Eh, They're compensating for the lack of a Turbo by extending the timing belt to ridiculous lengths.

At least when we are done with them they can be used as a tow strap to pull rice grinders off the track.

Sweet Rosie O'Grady
Was a seamstress by birth
She got tired of living
And decided to leave this earth
So she swallowed a ruler
But dying by inches was hard
And then she went out in the alley, boys-
And there she died by the yard.

I sold a used one to a 944 owner. Told him it was like getting two for the price of one.

Old timing belts make it east to loosen the oil pump gear when you forget to loosen it before taking off the belt. I keep on in my glove compartment for that very reason.
