Roll center is too high. Guards Red is the least desirable color.

Needs casters.

Otherwise perfect!

Looks like it could be made with three pieces of flat bar with four bends and two welds. What do you think? Jerry Feather

I'll have to let you know. Right now I only have one transmission (it's an automatic....), already sitting in a fairly comprehensive support structure.

My stand is en route from Jake, going to be a prominent feature of my new garage-art display after the garage addition is done .

I trust you make those in your new shop shirt, yes? Looks good. If you really want to get adventurous, build some folks a replica of the engine stand mounts. You'd need a tubing bender and some laser/water/cnc cut sheetmetal, but there seems to be a market for those.

I could use a stand for automatics, that tilts the trans up and down, and does a full rotation.

For Ver. 2.0, use angle iron and it will be a lot sturdier. Those flatbars are a bit Jello looking. Cheapest way to get good quality angle iron is to use old bed rails. They are stong as hell and weld nice.

i have one on the books for a local guy that uses angle iron. flat bar works great for storing, but not so much working on the trans. we are using angle and drilling holes so it will mount to a plate that he has mounted on the 928 engine mount/stand gizmo. this way he can mount the trans vertical and work away and spin as needed. kinda neat.

If it had a side mount with a 2.38 tube that would slide into the engine stand is what sean wants and I would use the same IF I planed on pulling my trans.
