Default Can a rear upper control arm...

be removed and reinstalled without taking anything else off? (other then the tire of course)? i have a wicked squeak from it and it sounds like the crossmember bushing on the upper arm, but i think its from the hub side bushing... it seems i might not have gotten it in the arm all the way, its pushed out and the washer is the only think keeping in the arm...

get a new one, they are cheap and reinstall, no issues. maybe i just dont know how to reinstall a new bushing, but stock factory stuff like this is always better. when that thing goes, i makes a mess of you rear end control

All new bushings. I just did not press it far enough back in. Guess I'll find out if I can take it out with everything else in place tomorrow

Not sure- You'll have to undo the outer end and hope that it'll rotate up above the hub so you can then move it rearwards to get off the inner end's (captive) bolt. But you may run into the spring before you can get it 'rearward' enough, though the captive bolt may move foreward a bit... Also, The rear rotor dust shield is gonna make it tight.

Some pics for thought:

Shawn changed one of mine in situ, not sure how he did it. I did the other side with the spring out and that was trivial.

Worst case is you might have to take loose the strut at the top and move it to the side a little to make some room for it to move.

I just did this. There isn't quite enough room to get it off next to the coil spring. I took the route of removing the big pin at the bottom of the shock tower. That allowed me to move the shock assembly just far enough to get it out. I thought about loosening it up at the top, but I didn't think I would be able to move it enough to get it free. You only need a few mm's.

re pressed the bushings, and bingo , no more noise. thanks for the input guys.
