What do you guy's think ? Seems like it is still not a bad price. 91 GT super clean. Looks like it had a repair to the right rear but still seems pretty good value

You could argue that a '91 GT was the best 928 ever built and that the GTS models had too many problems to be the "best"....

But then you would be wrong...as it is well known the 89GT "is" the best 928

i don't think its a bad price. there may even be room to negotiate on the seller's end, especially is you are talking a cash sale.

That's assuming you take '86.5 5-speeds off the table.

Well the 88 S4 is "Sale Pending". Really want a GTS but a nice GT would do the trick. The thing that concerns me most about this one is that it seems to have been for sale for ever. Has anyone here seen this car ?

The 86.5's have been off the table for quite some time now...where have you been

Or, you could argue that the cam profile and valve train weight and redline of a GT (any GT) makes it less desirable than an S4 5-speed. Especially early, squirter-block S4's.

I can't think of a single thing a well-mailtained S4 5-speed has issues with ... well maybe the 2/6 rod bearing oil ingestion issue, which all years have (unmodified).
