That's a lot of time spent sawing on windshields!

Real piano wire, like from a music shop, or some generic industrial wire? Guitar string maybe?

After the sealant is cut with the wire, what stops it from sticking back together?

I wonder if a system could be made to heat the wire with a power supply or something?

My sealant looked and felt hard and brittle, would never stick back to prevent removal, just a guess.

I was going to remove and reseal as was leaking water on passenger seat.
Just squirted silicon sealer on the outside instead.

I still get a big puddle of water behind the passenger seat when it rains hard.
Took most of a day trying to find the cause, hatch seal looks OK, window to hatch seal looks OK, rust in the groove below the hatch glass so filled the whole groove with silicon. Side rear glass seal looked OK. Checked with a hose but did not take the side panel off to check further.

Still a problem but not as bad.

I work in the auto glass industry so I know of what I speak. Call an auto glass replacement shop, and ask the if they use the Equalizer Express cut out tool? If they do hire them to come out, and cut it out for you. If they are good with the tool, the odds are close to 90% that it will save. They should know to cut towards the glass, and not the pinchweld. That way there will be little chance of damage to the car.
