$300K list price, they will be pretty expensive for a while. Of course they are automatics too...

LOVE that red SL BS! What a cool beast that would be! Still, a Maser GT would be my next choice of a car after a 928... Well, maybe an E36 M3 before that...I still like those, but man a Maser GT would be the bomb!

Apparently that is one of only two red BS SL's in the country.

My neighbor has a Granturismo...I think his is the S version. Here's a pic (Sorry that I appear to be hijacking this thread with my own pics).

I have another neighbor who just bought a black/red SLS AMG. That car is a BEAST!

BTW, it looks like another low mileage '95 just went up....from what I can see, it's not even in the same league as Chuck's.

I really like the SL65 BS but it's out of my comfort zone in terms of price......... Also love the Gran Turismo but would want the MC and guess what...... Yup, that too is above my comfort zone,at least for now. The GT MC will prolly reach my comfort zone b/f the 65 BS so never say never depending on how long it takes to sell the GTS.

I know the guy who owns the silver GTS or, at least used to own it. Dont if it's being consigned or the seller owns it. It's a nice example in a rare color of silver. Hope he's in it long term as MW and I are......

Good Luck chuck - I highly recommend a AM DBS 6 speed. White of course, shaking and stirring....as only a 510 hr v12 can do.

Cheers,
Marc

There's a rather nice conversation in OT about these cars.

I saw your ad on Ebay...I am in support of all the GTS's listed right now at higher prices. Incidentally, I saw in the news back in December that there was a big push for folks to buy used cars before the 1st of the year (2012) because they had predicted used car prices will climb quite high in the 1st quarter. Seems this is true at several cars I have looked at.

Reason being, I am going to be selling my GTS as well, so the timing seems to be right. It was a VERY difficult decision, but I had purchased an A4 this past summer that I am just in love with. The GTS of course has more power and it really is unbeatable in many ways, but I too prefer to move to more current sports cars.

As always Chuck, your car is a beauty and though I certainly do not expect to get close to what you can for yours, I expect since mine is a one of a kind, I should do pretty good.

And yes...I too will be 928-less for the first time in many years.

All the best my friend

SOOOO sad to see all my GTS buddies heading for the hills... That said, as you guys are looking if you see a black/black (high miles and not great exterior condition are fine) CHEAP '93 or '95 GTS's let me know... If I still have a job next week I might be looking...

Chuck,

I assume you are coming out to the 991 Launch Event at Hendrick on Feb 9th?

Based upon what I have read that may be your answer for a modern sports car.

Just looked up the silver GTS, why is the paint code sticker in the wrong door jamb?! THAT IS STRANGE! Color is great (my absolute FAV silver color actually) but was fairly common in '93. Zermatt (Zerrmatt, Zermmatt, how the hell DO you spell that anyway?!) was the color of the first GTS I ever saw and it made a hell of an impression on me!

It's not a bad looking car but from that view that car looks like it could have purchased at the local Toyota dealer last week for 33.5K. 300k sounds insane for such a plain looking car.

Hey Keith, I completely understand where you're at... We bought a 2012 S5 few months ago and what a great car! Very much reminiscent of the 928 with modern features. You too have an awesome well sorted example of the GTS! Best of luck.
