Best of luck in the new endeavour.
Look forward to hearing what your next super car will be.
edit - looking at your auction pics - is that interior Light Grey or Classic Grey? It looks different in some pics.
edit to the edit - description indicates Classic Grey.
My only suggestion is to paint that engine cross brace black or midnight blue.. The red is not complimentary.

Chuck - I'm sure your decision to sell was made with much thought and consideration, so all I can say is best wishes in your new endeavor and GLWS! My only regret is not being in position to become your GTS' new caretaker.
Take care and don't be a stranger!

Good luck with the sale. I actually look at pictures of your car all the time for inspiration when performing cosmetic work on my GTS (mostly cleaning/concours prep). I hope that you're selective about who you sell it to, as to help insure that it will be maintained in its current condition.

Chuck, there are few cars as amazing and exciting as a 6.3-litre Benz. Either way, very best wishes for your life forward. You are a gentleman and it is always a pleasure to hear from you. Please keep in touch regardless what you drive.

This is NOT a FS thread!!!
Guys, I just listed my GTS for sale and thought I'd give an explanation for the listing. I am serious about selling it and am in no hurry.
Many of you may know that last March I lost my job but, as with any door that closes, another opens. I have been working with a small NC company (off the clock so to speak) and a private equity firm since last August on an opportunity of a lifetime for me. On January 4th I was officially put into my new role and will be building a sales and marketing team from the ground up. While I'm not willing to say a lot about what I'm doing (yes, it IS completely legal!!!) I will say that I am extremely excited about the possibilities and that things couldn't have worked out any better for me (both financially and scope of work) had I written down what my dream job would be..... I am truly blessed!
Anyway, I have decided that at this point in my life if I'm going to have a sportscar (and I AM!!!! ) I'd like to have something newer. Many of you also know that I had a CLK63 Black Series (sold it to Graham Rahal); I was completely enthralled by the sheer power and handling of that car!!! I want something like that again and am willing to sell my much loved GTS to have it.

That is one gourgouse GTS!
Two quick questions Chuck:
First, I noticed you car does not have the door moldings. Is that an option for the 95 or did you delete it?
Second, Are those Arch extensions still available somewhere?
Thanks

First question: 'Rub Strip Delete' was an option on any new 928 ordered from a dealer. Not sure about Chuck's, but probably is. I left mine off when I did the repaint.
Second question: Those are Japanese-spec items and still available for $,$$$.$$ from Porsche. For full Japanese spec look, front fenders have extended arches also.
Search "Japanese" ...
Same boat, different river... I wish you luck Dean!

Chuck good luck with the new position. My feelings are that everything always happens for a reason and while life throws a few curve ***** it is what you make of them that counts. Sounds like you have found a dream job, good for you!
So are you going to get another CLK Black or something else?
For any serious buyers following this thread, I have seen this car in person and being a former concours judge I can tell you that it is a perfect example. Not a flaw in the paint and interior is in excellent condition. It is also one of the best colors for a 928, Iris Blue being the other color I would choose.
