Default Correct spark plug wiring order for 32v 86.5

Hi guys,
I have just finished the rebuild of the engine of my 86.5. I have had a heck of a time figuring out the correct wiring diagram for the plug wires. There are numbers behind the distributors on each bank so that is where I started first. Somehow, this didn't seem to sit right with the barely used set I bought from Mark at the Nine Source. So, I found the digitial wireing diagram for the 86 that came with the shop manual on CD. I blew up the upper right side of the diagram and there it had both distributors with their plug desiginations. What it had is for passenger side (ps) 7, 1, 4, 6. On the drivers side (ds) 3, 8, 5, 2. This is how I have it now and I have both intake side tanks on. Since my starter will not work, it looks like I will have to get a new one before knowing if the plug wires are correct or not.

Can anyone tell me if the one above is correct or should I use the numbers on the timing covers behind the distributor caps?

Thanks,

Frank, as it sits on your distributor caps, with numbers listed, is as it should be.

On S4 GT GTS from left to right as you face the engine:

4671
5238

Are your plug locations on the distributor caps.

Cylinder 1 as you face the engine is left front to 4 left rear. Cylinder 5 right front to 8 right rear.

Made this last night in PowerPoint. Should be able to print on label or sticker paper (foil would be best) if you need one.

Too late to the party, but here's the wire layout if you want to get them 'close' before stringing them on the engine:

Rob,
Man, thanks that is excellent. Now I just need to figure out where some water is leaking from and why the starter that was working fine when the engine was removed, will now only click. I think it might be the thorough cleaning I gave it after removal. I have a new one one the way so it will be later this week before I will know if it is going to run or not. Waiting is the hardest part of this rebuild.

Thanks to all of you that have provided help here and before on this car. It turns out that the numbers on the cam covers were correct. My problem at first was somehow I got it in my head that 1,2,3,4 was on the drivers side. I can't imagine why. I cleaned on this damn block for weeks and weeks and it is stamped right on there but this was a long difficult project and I have enjoied almost every minute of it.
