Not only are they way too stiff, they handle like crap...the stiffness jars the car over the slightest bump, disturbing any slip angle one might be establishing.

I personally wouldn't drive one to the junk yard with this combination...I'd have it towed.

I believe that Marc Thomas was "long gone" by the time we had the "Sharktuner" system.

From what I've seen, Marc tended to build his engines with unrealistic compression , for street use. So, if the engine has stock chips in it...it is going to ping/detonate. The stock knock sensor system doesn't have enough retard to compensate for the compression ratio.

From what I've seen, Marc seemed to install 30 pound injectors in almost everything that he did high performance work on. Certainly, 30 pound injectors deliver enough fuel to "feed" an engine of this type, but the midrange and the idle are going to be really rich. Expect the spark plugs to be very black.

Sharktuning will help, but if the compression ratio is anything like the one I just took apart, by the time you get rid of the pinging/detonation, there won't be very much timing left.
