what I mean, is would you install N E O N & LED Light Tubes & Underbody Kits

I think it would look cool to drive down the street at night and have my car underbody glow

Stuff like that is a bit too ricey for me. Right up there with race track approved tow hooks for teens that have never seen a track.

Funny, tracks dont approve tow hooks.

Sanctioning bodies do..and ours "recommends" that if I had to lift it up off the ground by the hook and shake the boom hard, that it holds.

Now..the tow hook may hold, but for those that put it thru the slot in the bumper..ya..the hook 8" away from the mount point will bend, and it'll tear the front off the car.

Just sayin.

I hate those rice hooks racers use...ya know, sometimes your failure mode means we have to LIFT the car too...

Those underbody lights are an excuse for an officer to pull you over, at least around here. Gendarmes are keyed to any lighting that wasn't installed at the factory. Underbody lighting, since it isn't directly visible, shouldn't violate anything. Still, it's a ticket you need to fight if you want. I'm just not that interested in the pull-over and the argument and the aggravation and the subsequent costs, even if I do get an agreement that it was OK to have it.

Bill-

How'd you do the LED's behind the door pull? That would be a nice touch in the inky blackness of my interior.

To put all at rest. I have not bought any and just thought i would start the discussion because it has crossed my mind.
It would be on a separate switch if i did.
I still thing a nice blue glow would look cool under my car when i pull up to the Fairmont. Red would look like i'm on fire.

Kind of like permanent work lights... One by the fuel pump/check-valve, one near the torque tube and tranny, one up near the motor mounts, a couple LED strips mounted on the fender walls for a TB/WP change.

Exactly - it's intended to help the passenger find the door pull in the dark. It's behind the handle right at the pivot area. I think I filed a small notch in the backplate by the handle pivot. It's a low output LED (you can make it dimmer by adding a 500+ ohm resistor) wired to go out once the door is open (powered by the window regulator circuit - fuse 15 in 89).

I do want to see a light kit that displays the model # of the car so you can read it on the ground. Not for a 928 but if I was 19 and drove a camero it would be pretty cool.
