Actually, to tell you the truth, both of mine have smelled kind of gassy at startup under 35F...

I've recurved the warmup and cranking maps. I'll see tomorrow morning if they still start easily.

I was only able to test down to 40F when I released this last version.

My '85 won't start if the engine is cold and the battery is showing anything less than 12.2 volts.

I've had issues with flooding, or at least issues with symptoms that indicate flooding. I've had them in several different configurations as well (cats/no cats, stock chips/porken chips/autothority clones, stock exhaust/GT exhaust.) The circumstances that make the car seem most prone to flooding are starting and shutting it down while the engine is cold. As someone said before, starting it, moving it out of the garage, and shutting it down.

I also put in a brand new set of Ford Racing injectors when I first got mine on the road.

No Matter. Your chips will work just fine for me because its just doesn't get cold here.

Crap...this means just pulling the LH chip to trade for reflash, right? Not both? I suppose that's the one sandwiched in-between. Actually, pulling timing might be helpful too, depending on the baseline advance...

Both cars have started and idled nicely with the revised fueling and faster idle below 40F. This will be version 3.51.

I'll add a 3.5 update button in a few days. I've made very minor tweaks to the 92 octane EZ chip over the past couple months so that will be new too. There's also a new, 91 octane option (for California).

I go back and forth on whether to offer a 'Black Edition' 5-speed chipset, which would require 7-8° of cam retard, X-pipe, and a wideband O2. It has a lot more high rpm power, if you like to rev it out.

I dont have the X pipe and dont know what a wideband 02 is... So, guess I'm out on the Black Edition

Let us know when the 3.51 (or whatever your gonna call it) version is ready...

Sorry Brett,
I read your post a while ago but forgot I was the OP.

Per Ken's suggestions, I'm using NGK 2912 BP8ES, gap to 1.0mm/0.040"

Looking forward to just one more chipset.

ooooh! Sounds interesting! I always feel like people are staring at me when I get over 4k rpms though, like they think I should be shifting already or something. Maybe when I finally get to do a DE I'll get to blow it out more on the track.

Now you know why my LH/EZ covers look like they do.
