No sunroof is a rare beast. Not sasquatch rare, but rare nonetheless.

I wouldnt overlook the 86.5 model year... They have the upgraded suspension & brakes of an S4 but cost less than S4s & GTs... And, with a few minor adjustments via Mr. Porken, they perform right with, if not better than, an auto S4. In a nutshell, the 86.5 cars are the cats meow with a five speed & LSD... ask me how I know? Of course I may be a little biased...

You have to seriously mod an S4 to even get close to a porken S3, GT's tremble in fear of S3's, if it wasn't for the torque curve the GTS would tremble and quake as well...

'86.5 GT-S rulez!!!

After I think 1982 a sunroof is very rare. I found an 83 5 spd no sunroof, but I don't think I've seen another.

OTOH go back to 1979 and I think half the cars were 5 spds and mostly non sunroof.

OMG, what have I gotten myself into??? You guys are hilarious! S3 vs. S4? sunroof vs. no sunroof? I think I want the sunroof.
As for the flammable airbags, uh...I guess I will have to look into that sticky. Can honestly admit I never read that one. And here I was thinking about safety LOL.

As for doughnut burnouts, I graduated from high school 20 yrs ago so that part of me is long gone. Although, smoking the tires is still super cool. I guess you never know what owning one of these things will do to you. Did anyone see the 928 on ebay that supposedly belonged to Charlie Sheen? It wasn't on there for very long.

The search continues...

For those looking, besides the usu places, ebay, cars.com, autotrader, I just discovered "vehicle markeplace" on RL. And member to member classified, has always been there.

in the marketplace, there is an 86.5 a/t, with 36,680, listed for $9.9, a rather low ask for the mileage. No affiliation. Get an inspection.

Default will do RL Classified

OK, I will check it out. I think I am getting closer. Never considered a 86.5. Might be something to think about. MAN this is getting serious and requiring some effort. All good things do though.
