Default Best Fire Extinguisher Mount?

The car is approaching completion after the engine fire.

I want to install a fire extinguisher to be prepared should there ever be next time.

Suggestions?

Thanks.

I like the brey krause ones... I have 2 of them... the mounts cost more than a halon extinguisher... but it is grab and go... no fiddling with buttons.....

I made some billet adapters to mount them to the factory mounts underneath the front of the rear seats....

when you have a fire you don't have time to fumble with clasps or buttons... you also don't want your extinguisher to be a projectile during an accident.

yep - or hurt yourself while the forces of the accident make your hands or feet hit the sharp edges of most fire extinguishers available today. I know, I've been laughed-at before for bringing this up, but given my experience (and scars) from a roll-over accident, I'm quite sensitive to such details.

Hi

I have twin extinguishers mounted on the folded down rear seat back behind the driver (RHD)

If I need the rear seat for a passenger (very rare) the extinguishers slide forward in their mounts to allow the seatback to lock upwards...

All the best Brett

My guess is it fell of his desk or got buried. He's kindof a busy guy.

FWIW, it's a good design and had been working well in my S4 for some time, with no problems.
Best thing going for it, it's very low profile, and is just about as close to the floor as it can be.
Hardly noticeable. My wife doesn't even complain about it when she rides. Still has room for her purse.

Soooo.... if someone wants to pickup the group buy and administer it, feel free to contact me.

Jim,
I really like way yours turned out. I'm not interested in running a group buy, but I would definitely buy one if someone else did.
