Default gas smell

Hello again , this time im looking for advise , today I took off the wooden fuse cover and noticed a wire that was cut somehow. I. Emailed the previews owner and he said that it's the oxygen sensor. Also recently my car while driving smells like gas , is it running rich because of the cut? Fuel pressure while idling is around 34psi jumping. Also how can I fix a shielded wire? Check out pics !!!

Also my idle started to be jumpy from 700 to 900rpm after driving the car for an hour, I wonder if it's all connected with that oxygen wire ? Help guys

Well...thats gotta be fixed...Im not the expert on that, or much else, but lets start at adding the year/particulars of your car in your signature..like down below. Then we know whats being worked on.

Idle could be many things, what year car?

to make changes to your signature.
first go to the top of the page click on user CP
then click on edit signature,
then add the info about your car year make model trans mission, and any other option you might like to include,
then click on save

Remove the right front wheel then the fender liner then look under the black cannister in front of the washer tank see if the 3 hoses are connected to the 3 way connector this connector usually breaks and then causes a fuel vapor smell.

Also inspect your fuel lines see if there is any wetness around any of the junctions this will require removal of the lower half of the aircleaner to inspect the hoses dont keep driving the car till the fuel source is found.

For the wire this goes to the computer connector the wire can be replaced from the computer to the O2 connector
it will be a bit of work to do 928 INTL may have a used harness that can be used to get this wire from mention the half price sale

The smell of gas could be coming from the plastic Y-connector going to your charcoal canister thingy under your passenger side wheel well, it is probably shot.

You've made it this far.

But...FIND the source once you're there.
