Default Murf stage one kit for sale (& other parts - Eibach springs)

I am in the process of purchasing a Final Edition Lotus Esprit. Because of this, I have decided to cut back on some of my 928 projects. I plan to keep my '87 and the parts and tools for that project, but everything else will be for sale. This includes the used Murf kit that I bought for my '90. I will also likely be selling my S4s, something I thought I'd never do (which is the reason I selected EspritS4s as my ID on most of the online forums I participate in ).

I purchased this kit from Ken (Rob Roy) back in January. The kit is still in the packaging that he sent. I have not even opened the box yet, but I would be willing to do so to provide pictures for anyone seriously interested (I'd prefer not to unpack it until or unless there is a serious offer). The kit is complete with the exception of the fans and a few of the generic fitting parts (clamps iirc).

This kit was pulled running from Ken's car. I haven't inspected the Vortech unit, but Ken did offer this caveat when I bought the kit:
"I was preparing to wrap the Vortech head unit when I noticed a few light scratches and a little pitting on the intake impeller. It looks as if some dust/small debris mave have hit it. It rotates freely and straight with no wobble. It was running fine when removed. I just want to make sure there is full disclosure."

I believe that impeller replacement kits are readily available, and I would be happy to take any requested pictures of the SC.

I have offered the kit back to Ken, so he has first dibs. However, if he passes, then I am asking $3100. I don't recall how many miles Ken put on the kit, but I am hoping that he will offer additional background info if he decides to pass on purchasing it.

There is one person currently in line for this kit.

I will take pictures of all the included parts and post tomorrow.

Gary,

Any chance you'll have any S4 brakes for sale? I'm looking to upgrade my 79.

I started unpacking things tonight. I'll unwrap everything and post better pictures in a day or so.

More pictures (I believe these pictures cover everything that I have):

So, that's it. As I mentioned, it does not include the fans. Also, you'll need some way to manage fuel delivery (RRFPR or new EEPROMS).

I haven't installed one, but it looks complete except the fans, drive belt, and fuel control. I think that Ken used a RRFPR (I'm not positive about this, but he didn't send me a chip), but the best option would be to get an eeprom from Tim or have the car Sharktuned. This kit pre-dates Tim including a new chips.

BTW, I read back through my PMs from Ken, and he indicated that this kit has about 2000 miles on it. He didn't mention how he handled fueling. I didn't ask, because I planned to Sharktune the car.

There were no chips being provided with this version of the kit. The increased fuel delivery required while under boost is provided by increasing the fuel pressure with the FMU. (That's the round blue thing in the second to last picture in post #8.) The stock fuel injectors are retained. Later stage-1 and stage-3 kits no longer use the FMU. With those kits, fuel is delivered with larger injectors, new chips, and a MAF recalibration device. This kit can be updated to that configuration if the buyer wants to do that, and it can also be upgraded to the stage-3 configuration as well if desired.

Besides the items mentioned, and based just on the pictures above, it looks like the air filter and it's connecting hose, the spacers for the smog and power steering pulleys, and the supercharger oil drain assembly are also not there.

The oil drain consists of a piece of hose and a modified engine oil dipstick tube. Some engines came with an oil pan that has a plate bolted on the top front left side of it. If the engine that the kit is getting installed on has one of the plates on it's oil pan, that plate can be drilled and tapped for connecting the supercharger oil drain line to instead of using the modified engine oil dipstick tube.

Tim should be able to provide any parts or updates to the purchaser if they want.
