Default Pic request: White S4 w/18" MY 02 996 Wheels

I have had a set of 18" 996 LW Wheels sitting around for awhile and I for some reason don't seem to like the wide open look of them.
I can't seem to find a picture from the side of a GP White S4 with the 996 wheels in silver. Anyone got one?

Might consider selling them or trading for an aftermarket set that doesn't need rear spacers.

Ive seen cars in person with those wheels. The can look sweet, and have a nice tuck with the right spacers.

Whats your front offset ?

Sell them to me... I'll take them off your hands and you can get something different. They are my FAV wheels!

I might end up selling them, I have way to many sets of wheels taking up space.

Brian, you and I are in the same boat, but these are my fav Porsche wheels... I need to reduce my inventory a bit, but I only have the gold slotted dish wheels that I am willing to part with and of the 8 spares I could probably put together one decent (but FAR FROM show quality) set...they are worth virtually nothing...despite the inability to refinish wheels in that color anymore.

Let me know if you want to get rid of them.

James, I'll take the worst of your worse slotted wheels for a refinishing project if you want to thin out the heard. I've got my chromies, but they're too nice to play with.

James, let me pull them out and take some pics and decide if I wan't to use them or the twists.
Anyone know what a reasonable price for both buyer and seller is?

Lots of people are running those wheels or aftermarket versions. They generally look quite good although the fronts do stick out a bit.

Brian, keep in mind the pic that Bill put up there are CIII's not CLW's. But they are VERY CLOSE in look to each other. I still prefer the CLW's. Just keep me posted Brian, I don't *NEED* them, but would take them off your hands if you were inclined to sell them. I have a set waiting for me as soon as the owner buys a new set of wheels that he wants... I don't mind having a spare set of CLW's either.

Ben, I would be HAPPY to donate a set of the slotted dish wheels to your project...keep in mind they are S wheels, NOT S4 wheels, so they are all 7". Not the 7" and 8" that you get with S4 slotted dishes.

Oh, yeah, they are not the same wheels. Very close (close enough for me to forget they were not the 996 wheels but Carrera IIIs). The CLW wheels have a rounded profile to the spokes and I agree look better.

Bill, we have the same taste in wheels...I just wish the CLW's had the same offset as the CIII wheels! The CIII's have the best 928 offset of any stock 911 wheel. The CLW's not so much...they work, but on a pre-S4 you probably shouldn't fit more than a 225 tire up front vs. a CIII can take a 245 I think.
