Default Purchase help in N VA

New kid on Pelican could use some help, even if he doesn't know it yet, with a 928 he found sitting in a shop in northern Virginia. He could use a reference to a good 928 shop for a start.

Yes send him over hear, I bet that car needs 6-7k before can or should be driven. No 17k car gets abandoned for something simple. Just the sitting for 4 years is going to cost a bundle. Brakes shot, TB/WP, fuel lines, intake refresh, trany?. Not to mention the possible kritters that may call it home.

Pelican gets a number of cross posters, so the idea was to bring this to the attention of one of the less frequent Pelican visitors who may be local to him, not to convert anybody to the dark side.

I agree the work ahead on this car may be substantial, but I also remember what it was like to be 19 and find something special.

If not, send it to me too pls....

Interesting to follow this. wonder if its subject tp mechanics lien. Can't believe a shop would leave it sitting if it just had some leaky lines.

I'm thinking this was a case of the PO walking away from it after he left it at the shop and didn't like what he heard back (not sure this shop would actually know). This is could be a killer find, or a sad story that might get sadder. Hmmm....the parts are worth what he's going to pay for it (just sayin'...not suggesting that fate). Something tells me the DMV paperwork is a real hassle...thus it sat for 4 years.

That's no 17K mile vehicle. Even if you know jack **** about a 928, most people have the good sense to not let them rot outside with the sunroof partially open for 4 years.
