Congrats! Great car! I just bought a Weissach two weeks ago and I love it! Dash plaque is missing so I am trying to figure out what number it. Best of luck with it!
Had an S4 wing on it... we were talking about it over on the OC forum. It has now been removed but you can see the plugs in the holes that were drilled for the wing. Looks MUCH better w/o it!
Gorgeous car and without a doubt well worth the price you paid. You may want to consider leaving the window tint intact... Its not "correct" but it will help keep the sun & heat off of your leather interior. I committed the same "sin" last week in an attempt to keep my leather from fading, cracking, stretching, deforming... I keep my 86.5 in the garage but I DRIVE it as well... if you do the same, you'll need all the help you can get
not sure what car you are looking at, the one in the pictures looks correct to me.
As far as I remember both from the new Weissach we purchased 30 years ago and the one we currently have, the seat faces, the part you actually sit on look like they've been dyed the wrong color. They're supposed to match the door insert color.
I've heard the new fancy window films block IR and UV but still "look" clear to the eye, 95% visual range transmission or something.
Thats true, but the clear wont reduce the HEAT... My car is GPW so the dark tint looks pretty good with the black trim, spoilers, etc... In addition, the cockpit is darker so the dim instrument panel looks brighter & is easier to see at night!
