seems like too nice a car to be swapping in older interior parts.
I was also interested in getting this car and going through it ,
The paint looks good and it needs some TLC before it can be a reliable DD

Stan, The older interior parts in this 79 are in phenominal condition. Even better than the 94 GTS. They will also match up nicely with the exterior color of that 86.5 .02 77Tony

Roger that,
I thought you would be better off putting those seats and interior into that early Black Euro that someone else posted.
The 86.5 looks like a nice car to fix up without an interior swap

Stan, This is the only time that I think I may have to disagree with you. The interior on that 86.5 looks to me like it needs a little more than TLC. I think the pascha interior from the 79 will look killer in that 86.5. Also think it would be nice to have the pascha interior in an 86.5 for the obvious reasons. 77Tony

Tony, looks like she is close-by.
Will do a drive-by early, then decide how to proceed.

Hi, I am landseer's daughter. I live in the area and would not mind going to check it out, today. If you have an address of where it is located that would be best.

Haversham1105 on ebay wrote back, and I quote: "4676 Princess Anne Rd, vb. lm ending the auction today since offer is much higher than the highs bids. If youre a serius buyer send me and offer i end in.Itll this morning. thanks and good luck." I don't really understand this person. I also asked for a phone # to no avail. Chris's daughter, I bid on this car and was just outbid. I think I am going to pass on this car. The whole thing seems a little strange to me. Thank you for your offer. 77Tony

Thank you Hiya, would like to see you chime in more often ? Jim, now leaning toward an 85-86.5 that needs an interior. A non sunroof, non rubstrip car in a fringe color might be asking for to much, but hey, if we look long enough, it might just surface ? 77Tony

There is an 86.5 upstate a bit in New York. Mice nested in the MAF but otherwise seemed good.

$5000 negotiable. It'd have to be towed/shipped unless you have a spare MAF.

Brown (nice paint), WP0JB0926GS862186 86.5

Here is one that keeps popping up:

Heck, go for one with M470 (no spoilers) too.

I've idly thought that a '85, made to like a '78, but with the power of a GT, would be way cool. ('85 so no third brake light, and able to run phone dials.)

From the '86 Service booklet, pg. 39:

Wheel Rims

It is now only possible to use size
7 J x 16 H 2 forged light alloy rims
with 65 mm rim offset because of
the new Porsche braking system.

The cast light alloy rims used
formerly in 928 and 928 S cars
do not have sufficient clearance in
the area of the new, larger brake
calipers and may not be mounted.
