Tony - you know I'm a purist, but you're doing your best to convert me!

I love this car. That rear shot of it sitting on the trailer in the sun - the color just glows. With all that power and a 6-speed, it's going to be a blast to drive. I sure hope you can bring it to 3rd Coast.

See you soon,
Jarrod

Glad you like Jarrod. Now I know where Tom gets his used parts. T

Yes what a journey. Hats off to Tony and Dinsdale.
I just wonder how T will be able to insure it fully.

The electronic gas pedal looks to be in good position for heel and toe.

He certainly does. Oil filter mounted. Just recieved some Thermo-Tec high heat sleeves to wrap the oil lines, low side A/C line, etc. T

Getting closer my friend,

I was wondering if you will be using lexan instead of the heavy hatch glass.

You can buy it dark tinted (what i will be doing) and it's cheap.

I have a 4'x8' sheet in my garage and it's nowhere near as heavy as the much smaller hatch glass. -Matt

Plan from the start was to set up JP up as a spunky, comfortable, GT type touring car. There will be some a weight savings of approx 150lbs coming from the LS motor, and the 6spd trans/diff will add back in approx 10 lbs. JP should come in at approx 3035 lbs, still a fairly light GT tourer. Next buy or build might be a dedicated track car and will be looking for that Lexan ! T
.

Stan, That's the stock size filter that comes with the LS motors. Also calls for Mobil 1 5-30. Have been skipping around on the LS forums lately and they say these LS motors run cool. Pretty hot here in TX and will keep an eye on engine (& trans) temps and if needed, add in a stacked plate, fan assisted cooler. T

Tony with the power JP is making, 3075 lbs. is already plenty light. I was just curious.

If I've read your thread correctly, you will have a better power to weight ratio than a new 911 GT3 https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...51773540,d.eWU
