Sorry in advance if I am asking a question that may have been asked before.
I am trying to buy a set of whels for my wife's 1988 928 S4. I am looking into two set of wheels. One of them being off a 2003 Boxer S.
Will they fit? what is the specs on the offset?
Thanks for your help.

The stock S4 wheels have a front offset of 65mm and a rear offset of 45mm if my memory serves me correctly.
The Boxster typically has a front wheel offset of about 52mm which, with a 225 section fills the wheel well rather nicely but you will lose the negative scrub radius built into the front steering geometry. For day to day driving you will probably not notice any difference. On the track perhaps another thing altogether.
Not sure what offset the Boxster rear wheel has but the set I had fitted OK. I sold mine on after an autocross event in which I felt the car should have performed better than it did.
Used the money to help buy real wheels and then went 5 seconds a 1 minute lap quicker on the next event- good decision that one.
Regards
Fred

would the handling be affected if spacers were used to make the wheels fit?
I think the turbo twist has 55mm front and 50mm in the back.
Thanks for the info

In the unlikely event you need a spacer on the rear you will need longer wheel studs to compensate.
