At 550 a rod it would be cheaper, a lot cheaper to buy a set from Greg Brown.
And then you know you have the right rods.

Ok, I see it now.
on the flip side, that sounds really cheap for a good set of rods.

"Designed and finish honed, in the US."

That statement tell you anything?

I was just talking about 4340 Chinese steel, in the other thread.

I saw the receipt for the steel that my crank builder is using for my new cranks, the other day. The steel literally cost more than Eagle/Scat charges for an entire crank. How can that be?

Not in any of my engines.

I actually should have thought of that Greg, but you just know from the price they are crap.
Hell, you cant get a good set of SBC rods for that.

When I was a boy in the 50´s we all heard of all that junk coming from Japan. Nowadays noone is talking about japanese junk. When will we stop talking about chinese junk. The chinese are learning fast. How bad is chinese 4340 steel? I thought the chinese are using steel from Sweden, we are exporting a lot. Now the chinese are the owner of our two car manufacturer, SAAB and Volvo. The chinese will support the EU financially regarding the crises over here. The world is turning upside down.
