Abby,
The 911 owners here in Vegas are "clickie", and act like snobs towards other models of Porsche cars. Also they don't mingle with the other exotic car owners. I have to say that the Cobra owners act the same way too.

Personally, I could care less. I like my 928 reguardless of anyone's opinon. Thats why I bought it.
FWIW, the Pantera owners, and forum can't hold a candle to this forum or 928 owners in general. A real fun, and great group here!

We have many active 928 members in the Carolina Region and we also have many 928s show up at our local Cars & Coffee. Several of our past regional President's have owned 928s (myself and ChuckZ included). One of our local members just bought the 6K mile 928 that everyone is drooling over and I personally cannot wait to see it.

I appreciate the marque and all the cars it has produced. I think people get too hung up on models sometimes.

I don't attend many PCA social events but at the track I always feel welcome and respected.

Its actually worse than no 928's in the paddock, there were no 928 models, books, posters, etc....I checked at nearly every vendor. I was floored. There was more 924 stuff than 928.

I did see three pretty nice S4's in the Porsche Parking area up on the hillside..

It was almost like Porsche never made the car to begin with.

Very sad, but not too surprising. I have a 996tt as well, so I at least got to feel like I belonged a little bit!

I've gotten nothing but positive comments on mine at the PCA events I've been to.

It all depends on the club. Our local PCA region is prejudice against no model and my GT is well known and respected. We don't care what folks drive, we just want everyione to come out, participate and have fun.

That would likely be the same if YOU showed up in a Chevette

It is good in Austin... Most of the past Presidents here have owned 928's of their own! That said, we are just rebuilding the 928OC in Austin and starting to get things going again and not many (if any) of the new folks are PCA members (that I know of).

And Sean's fist comment was funny. And Abby, your avatar looks great in that line-up.
I would like to see the same thing! And more PCA involvment in the major 928 events and vice-versa.

Thanks for the compliment! That was a really cool Rennsport Reunion III moment!

I did see a few AutoArt die-cast models of the 928 at a couple of vendor booths but that was it.

That's pretty much it in a 'nut-shell'.

Even if the next reunion were held at Road America, 45 minutes from my driveway, I wouldn't show up in a 928 or even a Porsche. I'm just odd that way.
I figure why bring a Porsche to a Porsche party, plenty of those to look at. Bring something different

Funny you should mention...I bought the only one that was my model with correct color combination. They had some books (shop manuals) and some trinkets but far and few between when compared to the 911 stuff. Hell, they even had more Ferrari stuff on display than 928!
