Default Steering Rack is acting weird

Has anyone have a newly rebuilt rack that is jerking back and forth on its own? Filled with new fluids and we tried to get the air out by turning to full left and right but with no luck... We checked all lines and connectors and they are fine, power steering pump newly rebuild too. Is it a defective rebuilt rack???

can you take a picture of the lines going into the rack?
maybe they are backwards.
Where did you get the rack?

Luan, just post 'em here. It is possible to get them reversed, ask me how I know....

Here's the rack fittings from the front:

And from below/rear:

I have installed 4 of the 928INTL racks and they all worked perfectly,
Based on the quality rebuilds they provide its not the rack thats causing the issue.

Also did you replace the motor mounts?
if so its possible that the stud on the bottom side of the mount is too long and possibly hitting the top of the rack,
and possibly has crimped the top lines that run along the outsides of the rack,
look carefully for this condition

Yup, swap the two lines into the rack and the problem will go away.

Basic law of auto repair.....If something can be put on backwards.....sooner or later some one will. Harmonic crank balancers included.

BTW...You can blow out the seals by hooking the lines up backwards...
