Don Hansen was a 928 racer back in the late 90's early 2000's....his engine was a Devek built stroker and it had one of the very 1st ITB intakes.....even before Louie Ott.....I think it made 597whp back in the day too.....I think he got out of 928's in the mid 2000's....

Don wasn't sponsored.....a typical "self sponsored" guy like most of us!!!

"before Louie Ott" had his motor finished.

Don used Louie's prototype after it was tested on the DEVEK white car.

The engine block was cracked from freezing coolant or something like that., not the usual engine blowing stuff.
Ed must feel very proud right now.
It would be nice to hear more about the car. Speech! Speech!

Pure distilled water -> racing car not used the winter -> sat outside under a cover for a bit in Southern Oregon -> cracked block.

But that is all history. The beast is ALIVE!!!

Don also ran ORR from 1999-2001, first in an 88S4, then in the 90GT.

You can't change out that block, it is a $50,000 block. Ed welded it professionally, because it is just how he rolls

I had to race cars in 2R back a few years ago that had that kind of power/weight ratio... SO UNFAIR with my 150k super tired stock EURO S engine! They have changed the PCA racing rules a bit now so I would actually drop to GT3 or GT4 even so I might have a fighting chance these days... LOL! Well, my car might, but probably not with me driving it!
