Default AutoArt 1:18 Scale 928 in red, lind green, and tobacco brown

This is a follow-up to this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...ling-this.html

Today, AutoArt announced that they will receive the 1:18 scale 928 models in red, lind green metallic, and tobacco brown metallic on or around Thursday, October 6, 2011. This means, I could have them as soon as the week of October 10, 2011.

Now that I have some idea about availability, I feel comfortable listing them in my store at www.hookedoncars.com for pre-ordering. I'm keeping the prices very affordable - significantly below the MSRP of $136.95.

Pre-orders from you would help me plan my orders, and make sure you can get your model as quickly as possible.

Attached are a few pictures. Enjoy!

Hi Nicole,

Do you have any idea if AutoArt will ever make an "S" model?
Thanks.

Regards

To each, his own - but I can't imagine wanting that green, in either 1:18 or 1:1.

Makes me wonder why they picked that color.

Those cars are only $500 from being a $136.95 model.

You can enter an order in my store and hold-off with the payment. Just go through the check-out, and stop before transferring to PayPal. This way I can make sure I order enough of each color, send you a reminder when the models have arrived, collect your payment, and ship promptly.

Regarding the 928S-Model:

They say they will make an S-Model eventually. But it's been years since they started saying this, and there are still no signs of it actually happening. When I ask the AutoArt people here in the US, they simply don't know when.

The fact that they started offering the base 928 one of the two colors they were planning for the S (red, silver) might be an indicator that it won't happen too soon.

Goes to show you how vastly different taste is. That green is one of the two colors I hope to own a 78 in some day
