Default 89GT ROW Club Sport Wheel Question

I have a new set of 89GT Club Sport ROW (with rdk) wheels coming in from Germany - if you want to know the price get your handkerchief out 8>).

928 362 157 30 Fronts and 928 362 159 30 Rears.

I am trying to find the EXACT part number for the center caps that were fitted to these wheels on a ROW 89GT - PET is very ambiguous and does not specify for this wheel.

Anyone know the correct center cap please?????

A 'new' set, as in new in the box from Porsche? Or 'new to you'?

Wow.

My CS wheels came with the center caps shown, sorry not sure what part #. I had them reanodized along with the wheels when I got them. They have the 'sharp edged' plain embossed crest.

I do have another set of new-in-box center caps that I bought off of Ebay 5 years ago, part # 928 361 032 02, that have the plain embossed crest as well. PET says 90+, but I don't recall whether they're anodized or painted. I can take a pic of them tonight if you're interested.

Mine aren't ROW CS rims...they're Cdn spec 89GT... but I'll check the caps when I go home for lunch to see if it's different from what Rob posted

Sorry I'm unable to help with ID of the centercaps Roger, but I'd LOVE to know what that pricetag is. Tissues are ready if you're willing to spill the beans.

Thanks for the feedback - Rob please check if your spare set matches as I am keen to supply the cutomer with the correct caps.

Yes these are new in the box from Stuttgart and prices are circa $1500 each for the fronts and $2300 each for the rears - amazed that they had over 40 of each in stock.

Crap! They're not nearly as rare as I thought they were!

$7600 a set, wow.

So if there are 20 cars' worth of CS rims with RDK still in stock, how many sets of the non-RDK CS wheels (928 362 117 90 and 928 362 119 30) does Porsche still have in their inventory?

And if there were 109 U.S. '89 GT's, and in the ROW, 289 LHD, 69 RHD, and 7 Clubsport cars made, then we know how many 8"/9" CS wheels were made.

Did all of the ROW '89 GT's have RDK?

Rog--

Those caps look amazingly identical to the caps that came on my '89 S4 with forged slots.

I'll guess that Porsche knows that there is very limited demand for those wheels. Of course you've upset the applecart now by actually buying a set. (!!!) There have been times when batches of factory parts have shown up from our various suppliers as thy become NLA. Making room in the warehouse for parts that actually move? What are the chances that these wheels will end up that way?

Well, that reaffirms why the 8" US CS front rims (928 362 117 30) are so hard to find.

DISCLAIMER: All based on a read of PET, not reality!!!!!

So geeking out a bit on PET shows 16 different wheel part#'s for 1989. With regard to the center caps, there are only 4 center cap parts #'s. One of those center cap part #'s is for the winter wheels, leaving 1 cap that's for light platinum anodized wheels, one for silver anodized wheels, and 1 for D90 wheels, which of course are painted. The Ebay set I mentioned must be the painted ones...

So for silver anodized CS wheels, I'd guess that you want the 928 361 031 00 center caps.

Table of all the wheel and center cap data for '89:

Thanks for the offer but Mark Anderson has already said that I can sort his collection of hardware any time I want for $10.50/hr. At the rate things are going at the University of California, that's starting to look like a good offer.
