Ahh, the big question. I'll have to wait until some products are ready for sale to reveal final designs, but we have about 10 on deck right now with 3-4 launching initially. There are interesting trademark infringement issues to work around, as copying trademarked material is not our goal.

What I can tell you, is that WILD, CRAZY t-shirt designs that look you just came from spring break are not our thing. We work on the premise that our design should make a clean, simple statement. I've been peeved for a long time that it is VERY difficult to obtain classy p-car/enthusiast-related shirt, printed on a high-quality shirt, that doesn't cost $45+ to buy straight from Porsche. So we decided to add a line to our business.

Hans,

Thanks man. OT, but I have a buddy coming by this evening to work on his '95 Audi S6 (sweet car), so I am going to work on cutting up that tub for you while he is working.

Question for you: I have been hesitant to go with plastisol, as I love a soft hand on a shirt. When you say the Threadless shirts don't hold up as well, do you know what printing process the ones you purchased used? It is possible to achieve a softer hand with plastisol, but man, I love a discharged shirt without a big plastic graphic.

Maybe you can bring back some of the old PaisleyGroup designs. I liked the landspeed record shirt, as well as the flight attendant shirt... both of mine are now long worn out.

I am not sure what method Threadless uses for printing. I can take a look and see if there is any mention. They fade significantly on the first wash, and with every wash after there is a noticibale decrease in the print.

I have shirts from these guys several years old, whatever they do works out really well:

I am finally thinking about re-ordering another set of everything I bought from them back in ~2006 or so, just because the shirts themselves are starting to wear, but the prints still look great.

Large for me exited to see your new stuff. Especially the furniture/office stuff. I am in the process of making two desks out of my old 928. Would be cool if everything in my home office was made from a 928.

Speaking of paisleys, I always wanted a shirt not with the usual paisley design but one huge single paisley instead, is this what you're making by chance?

Many of us get plenty of unisex t-shirts from our employers or vendors. There is little incentive to spend money on something you can get for free. I have so many unisex t-shirts, I don't even know what to do with them.

I just think that a proper fit can make them more attractive - providing the print is interesting as well. I really can't say whether I'd be interested until I have seen the design. If it's a logo, I certainly would not spend any money on it.

Here are a few that we already know of; you should make sure yours differentiates nicely:

PS: Not all women fit into a unisex size S. We all wish, but then there is reality...

Besides the good quality (soft material and good stitching) I look for shirts that are well tailored. I hate T-shirts that flop around and loose shape after a few washes. I prefer slim fit. They must fit, not feel like an elephant cover.

And they must be "long" so they stay tucked in.

I wear an extra large. The words that come to mind when I think about t-shirts are:

stop,

drinking, and

diet.

Again, thank you for the input, Nicole, as well as everyone else. In no way am I implying that all women would fit in a unisex S; just an example. I apologize if it came across that way.

Cool shirts in that link. Ours aesthetic is quite different from that, which is good. We are lucky from the standpoint that all three of us involved in the project have degrees in industrial design/graphic design. That is not a crutch, and no guarantee of quality as design is 100% subjective, but I hope our training is reflected in the perceived quality of our designs.

My guess is I will offer unisex shirts initially, judge interest, and hopefully move forward with a few designs that females would like to wear in a female-specific cut. More testing would need to be put in place prior to choosing a female cut. It has taken long enough to pick a unisex/male cut (keeping in mind, from the beginning, things like Aryan said above)!

I'd love to give you guys an idea of the designs, but that is not in the cards just yet. I need to have material available for sale before revealing designs--when there is inventory investment and copyrights involved, I am not willing to risk someone snooping on the boards and copying our material. We think our material is pretty good, but I guess we will find out when the website is launched.

I look for preshrunk, heavyweight cotton that doesn't show light through the weave. I also like double-stitched hems, cuffs, neck -and no label or pocket.

In the design, like Tony said... small logo on left chest; large logo on back.

Black or dark charcoal shirt to hide some of the inevitable dirt.
