Default Ravaglioli Car Hoist

Just looking at a old 2 post gear driven screw shaft car lift. What I like is it has no locks so it can go to all heights and be secure. Hoping some one knows of them and can help me with this decision.

There is no problem, I was hoping to hear from some that might know the pro and cons of them.

We had two of these that were dis assiembled and sat for years. The control box for both looked as if they had been thrown from a moving vehicle and at the time no one wanted to try and get them working. Finally gave them to someone who was sure he could make work but could not (even using parts from both to make one) Thinking about it now should have kept the motors as they were high torque.

I've never seen a gear driven lift. Does it still have some sort of safety lock in case there is a gear or motor failure?

IIRC the gears themselves act to prevent any movement when not powered. Ray

I like this one. Elctric drill, raises it right up over 2 feet.

Default worm drive 2 post lift

nussbaum makes them but i think the need 3 phase witch is common on business type buildings and not residental . you can get a converter box to work. this is the quietest and top of the line lift, if not the safes too.

This one is single phase with two motors, one on each post. I am very happy with its performance thus far.
